Live ISO CD does not boot on MacBook Pro

My system is a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, Apple SSD, Intel Iris 1536 MB.
(Model MacBookPro11,1 – Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4288U CPU @ 2.60GHz)

I attempted to boot from a CDRW on which I burned of the live ISO. The boot up sequence froze.
