    Description

      Okay, this is funny.

While reviewing the debug logs of another issue, I happened to notice:

      (ntoskrnl/io/iomgr/driver.c:64) Deleting driver object '\Driver\SACDRV'
(hal/halx86/legacy/bus/pcibus.c:727) WARNING: PCI Slot Resource Assignment is FOOBAR

While I certainly appreciate the humour of it, it brings to mind the source.

The correct spelling is F-U-B-A-R. Yes, billions of programmers will argue with me on that. But the correct translation is "----Up Beyond All Recognition"

In view of Kernighan and Ritchie's exemplification of FOO and BAR, I feel confident it was likely their humourous politically correct implementation of FUBAR.

The word FUBAR has a long history of stemming from WWI and WWII.

I think it would be appropriate to honor those who have unnecessarily fallen by correcting the spelling of each instance of it in the code.

Not much to ask I would think. Maybe implement a string constant of it

Not really a bug, possibly an error, and lest we forget, something to consider in future revisions.
