first boot - copysystemprofile() failed

I did a precursory search and did not find any issue. But being new I may be over looking something, so Please forgive me in advance.

Issue is exactly as the title states. The OS loads, 4.10, and then as the desktop is starting to appear I get a message box that states "CopySystemProfile() failed Rebooting now!" Nothing else loads. 

I am on real hardware, an ancient Abit KN8 MB with an athlon cpu. A single HD. 

I can help track the issue if I only knew more about the system I was trying to use, but I haven't been able to even begin to use it. I'll take any advice to try and track the problem.
