In Regedit, if you have the root node (My Computer) selected and go to File -> Export, the export window will appear and will have "Selected Branch" selected for the Export Range, but the text box will contain garbage.
Right-clicking on My Computer and choosing export from there will correctly display the export window with "All" selected for the Export Range.
