Trunk revisions tested: 61784, 61888
Detailed memory, video, volumes, sound (none?) in report (editted for readability but still may be a bit complex)
CPU detailed: FSB: 533 MHz S-Spec: SL7PK (http://www.cpu-world.com/sspec/SL/SL7PK.html)
Reproducing: (I've reproduced this many times, though, before, it has hung up at some earlier point like while copying explorer.exe, but that may not be related)
I just stick in the CD-R with bootcd-61888-dbg, run setup with default settings, set to format the 80Gb IDE HDD to FAT (though I had previously reformatted it to only have 1 FAT32 partition), and basically keep pressing enter till setup starts. Setup copies files for a while, but as soon as it goes to "Setup is updating the system configuration" it throws an error, "Setup failed to import a hive file" with a prompt to reboot while stuck at "Importing hivecls.inf."
I attached the debug log till that point, and then attached the rest, after rebooting.
I glanced at the log (I wouldn't be able to analyze it very well), but the formatting might not be working, (can it really be instantaneous?) the log shows that it keeps verifying the volume then failing at reading and then trying again).
This line appears a lot at the end:
WARNING: HvpWriteLog at lib/cmlib/hivewrt.c:26 is UNIMPLEMENTED!
I hope this wasn't overkill, but forum guides and the wiki advised being very detailed.
