top mouse speed still rather slow

The mouse sensitivity upper limit seems quite low - definitely lower than XP's top speed (regardless of acceleration).

The upper limit should be extremely fast (even faster than in Windows) since user preferences vary greatly and we can't really anticipate all the possible combinations of users and pointing devices.

For example, many laptop trackpads are significantly slower than a mouse, but the arbitrarily capped mouse speed in Windows prevents users from attaining a comfortable speed.
