[REGRESSION] Gamedev Tycoon doesn't show ♂ and ♀ symbols/font

Description: No ♂ and ♀ symbols/font are rendered. See the screenshots of the regression. Master is affected. Releases from 0.4.14 are also affected.

Selfnote and note for the testers: During the test I detected that NDIS (e1000) driver blocks that software to run under 0.4.13 and 0.4.14. It's a bug, fixed in master. For testing purposes, just disable the LAN driver in the VM.
