[WIN32SS] Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime 2008 SP1 setup from rapps has major drawing issues

When setup finishes, the whole dialog is not redrawn but blinks
(user can't see that the job is actually done)

the log gets spammed with:
WARNING: IntGdiRealizePalette at ../win32ss/gdi/ntgdi/palette.c:748 is UNIMPLEMENTED!
