servman draws toolbar pictures incorrectly when ran in Windows

Steps to reproduce:

1. Use Windows XP or higher
2. Change your system DPI to bigger value than standard 100%
3. Run servman.exe

The buttons in the toolbar do not show transparent background. I made a project and I compiled the app in MSVC to make some experiments: trying with commctrl v5 or v6, with or without manifest file, it gives always the same result. It looks like the ImageList_AddMasked fails to create the mask.
