Description
I tried to install reactos 0.4.0 on a thinkpad sl 510, with a 1 TB hard disk. I created a 20 GB fat partition sda2. During install, the installer reported that it couldn't write the boot loader. I retried, this time with a full format of the partition, with took a long time, but eventually finished. What never finished was the check of this partition (which was started even though the installer says it cannot check partitions yet). So I eventually turned the computer off to find that ROS had destroyed the partition table. GParted reported that there were no partitions, that sda was one big unallocated partion. udisks2 on linux reported the presence of two partitions sda1 and sda2 with all the partitions thereafter being gone. gpart tried forever but failed to produce useful output. I eventually restored the partition table from a backup, but I am devastated about the fact that ROS touches the partition table without being told to do so and without saying so.
