Description
I propose to include the Quick Access Menu (see attached screenshot) that is present in Windows since 8. It neatly organises several often-used configuration/management screens together and saves a lot of time.
I have put together a proof of concept in AHK (tested on Windows 7 and ReactOS r70756) that should provide visually and functionally identical experience.
What is missing is Win+X shortcut support in ROS and, of course, proper Win32 C implementation of this menu.
Attaching a ZIP archive with the AHK script source and a 32-bit compile.
Notes:
- Mobility Center entry is disabled but implemented
- Search entry is disabled and also not implemented
- Sleep was not tested, may not work
Taking inspiration from Win8 may not be a compatibility step towards Win2003, but all the stuff is already present in Win2003 and thus ReactOS anyway.
