Description
I've been trying to install ReactOS on my computer, but the install process always freezes, without any BSOD or anything of the like. The screen stays unchanged (and not always at the same screen when I try again), and the SSD and and CD drive lights stay off. I have (somewhat) successfully gotten ReactOS to work on my computer by installing it in a VM then copying the VM image to my (secondary) SSD. I still have USB problems, but that's in another bug report. Based on the issue only happening when I boot from a CD (The LiveCD has the same problem, if I remember correctly), its inconsistency as to when it happens (though it always happens while copying files, if not earlier), and it not happening when I installed ReactOS in a VM using my actual CD drive, I suspect that the issue is the CD driver freezing. I have had this issue with 0.4.0, 0.4.1. 0.4.2 has other issues, so it doesn't get far enough for me to even know whether it still has this problem.
