Problems starting React OS in debug mode with a hive file

I cannot start React OS in debug mode (second option of the boot menu), since I'm getting the
message
"Importing binary hive file failed!"

Testing environment:
Virtual Box
2048M Ram
Fixed size firtual disk 2Gb (VDI)
Envieronment: Ubuntu GNU/Linux 14.04
With COM1 redirected to a crude file.
