Major Description
They do not hook anything, simply apply a setting when initialized.
The shims are called:
- DisableThemes
- Force8BitColor
- Force640x480
Force8BitColor and Force640x480 live in aclayers.dll, as shown by: https://git.reactos.org/?p=reactos.git;a=blob;f=rostests/apitests/appshim/dispmode.c
The layers (so that they can be activated from the registry / environment):
- DisableThemes
- 256Color
- 640X480
