Chrome Standalone installer fails with "The installer failed to uncompress archive. Please download Google Chrome again."

    Description

      Second error:

      Egads! Installation failed. Error code: 0x80040902.

      Install log (at C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\chrome_installer.log) shows the following:

      [1009/205925:ERROR:lzma_util.cc(210)] Error returned by WriteFile: 1784
      		 
      [1009/205925:ERROR:lzma_util.cc(91)] Unable to uncompress archive: C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\CR_EE320.tmp\CHROME.PACKED.7Z, error: 1784

      which means we are returning ERROR_INVALID_USER_BUFFER.
