Boot CD freezes with "Error loading nls file."

With ReactOS 0.4.2 (and a recent nightly build), when I try to boot from the installation CD on real hardware, I get "Error loading nls file." before being able to even select a language. Earlier versions of ReactOS have failed to install, but not this early.

Here's my hardware (custom-built PC):
MoBo: Asrock 970 Extreme3 R2.0
CPU: AMD FX-8320
AHCI-mode SATA controller with Asus CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive
