Description
Tested on build 73532
On a Dell Latitude D620, lspci extract:
0c:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Network Connection (rev 02)
Running setup.exe http://www.dell.com/support/home/de/de/debsdt1/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=R257701 brings the application error: The instruction at '0x00000000' referenced memory at '0x00000000'. The memory could not be 'read'.
Then tried decompressing above archive and making driver update from there, but the system freezes after detecting the device by its name. System is able to boot after forced power down.
Also tried 32 bit driver from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/22118/Intel-PROSet-Wireless-Software-and-Drivers-for-Windows-XP-?product=50517, but the installer also freezes the system. Again the system is able to boot after forced powering down.
Device always stays unnamed and unconfigured in device manager and without operation.
