    • ReactOS 0.4.6 release (but already experienced in 0.4.2), installed in VirtualBox on Win7 host.

2D/3D hardware acceleration is on, the experimental 3D driver installed and works.Otherwise only the AC97 sound driver is installed.

    Description

Aquasoft Diashow for Youtube 9 (Freeware, DiaShowYouTubeSetup.exe) installs fine, but when starting the application (even after a restart of ROS), an reproducible error will occur:

The application will display an interesting error protocol which might be interesting for ROS developers to check. The text version of it can be found (on my German ReactOS) in

      C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Administrator\Anwendungsdaten\AquaSoft\DiaShowYouTube9\bugreport_DiaShow.txt

      You find it attached.

Then, if the user chooses "Continue", the application wil continue to initialize and show its main screen, but before that is fully loaded, the program freezes with high CPU load. This seems independent of the selected language. (Note that during inital startup there is another dialog, but Diashow will freeze afterwards anyway.)

I have also attached a debug.log from ReactOS, including the start, freezing and killing the application with the task manager.

Note that Diashow 9 is not a software from the WinXP/Win2003 age, but from around 2015. Still, since the software procudes a nice error report on crashes, it might be helpful for finding bugs in ReactOS.
