HxD 1.7.7.0 WIN32K BSOD 0x50 upon start (randomness involved but high chance)

      0.4.7-dev-662-gdc16ad2 gcc dbg
      Strange - I can install and start HxD 1.7.7.0 from rapps without issues.

      But I downloaded the portable version from here:
      https://www.heise.de/download/product/hxd-50764
      linking to
      ftp://wa651f2:anonymous@mh-nexus.de/HxDde.zip

      And when I start HxD.exe I get reproducibly WIN32K-BSOD 0x50, see hxd-BSOD-l2l.log
