Description
Hello, so yes there is an open issue of this type already but it had not been updated in quite a while, and the error has changed somewhat.
My platform is as follows:
Gateway E-4200 ACPI Compliant PC
Pentium 3 450MHz
Intel 82371AB/EB ATA controller
Nvidia TNT2 Model 64 32MB
D-Link DFE-530TX+ Ethernet Card
Adaptec AHA-2940U2 SCSI non-raid controller.
Alright so, this should be the latest dev build. On a fresh install, opening the driver installer extracts the files and proceeds to install the driver. As soon as it reaches 3% you are presented with Image 1. Pressing okay does not advance the installer, it simply loops seemingly to infinity.
So, i tried something to use the hardware manager to install the driver, and providing it the extracted files shown in image 2. Again, same "error" message, that loops for as long as your finger can click. Killing the process highlighted in Image 3 allows the driver to install seemingly, and you can see the success screen in Image 4. However, restarting the computer will not yield positive results as the resolution output is not displayable on at least 3 different monitors. So, its questionable whether the driver even installed at all. Killing the process pictured in image 3 during the nvidia installer seems to skip right to the installation finished screen, and restarting yields the same result.
Driver download link is: http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/61.77/61.77_win2kxp_english.exe
Hopefully this is enough info!
