PS/2 keyboard input stops working on Live CD (Hardware)

The system is custom built, based on an older HP board. ReactOS boots to the Language Selection window, but no input from the keyboard is taken, and remains stuck on that window.

Intel Pentium D 820, 2GB RAM, No USB devices

ReactOS 0.4.7 booted from SATA CD-ROM

PS/2 keyboard, connected to the PS/2 port on the motherboard
