NeedForSpeed Shift Demo hangs the system

The system hangs and not responding after launching the game, on the intro. After that I selected the game language, there is a freeze. Before installing a game I already installed DirectX June 2010 Redistributable. Later I installed all other DirectX components from the Windows XP Pro SP3 original ISO (http://www.majorgeeks.com/index.php?ct=files&action=download&), which includes DirectInput, DirectMusic, DirectPlay, Quartz, Devenum, Amstream and other, but it has no avail for me. After launching a game there is the same freeze.
In Wine this game works correctly for a long time in Windows XP compatibility mode.

I tested it on 0.4.8-dev-685 build in VirtualBox 5.2.6.
