nLite 1.4.9.3 'iso creation process' fails

I was happy to see "nLite 1.4.9.3" https://www.techspot.com/downloads/316-nlite.html
working very well in this version of ros.
I always tested this against .NET2 SP2.

I fed it with my XP SP3 iso, and it completed to strip out the components and finished all that stuff. (Almost "Epic Win")

Unfortunately in the very last step where it wants to create an iso from the slimmed system, the app seemingly freezes. The diskIO-LED of VBox4.3.12 is constantly enlighted (not flashing, but constantly on) for hours.

It can not pass the point where it "prepares to create the iso".
I left it like that for several hours, it logged periodically nothing but

fixme:(ell32/shlfileop.cpp:1761) Unsupported flags: 201d

The GUI is blocked and taskmgr shows pretty reliably a CPU usage of exactly 50%.

After waiting some hours I repeatedly broke into the debugger to collect resolved stacktraces. Hope they help:
