pdfSam 3.3.5 main app draws tooltips at wrong position

0.4.11-RC-33-gb27a643 gcc dbg linux

Reproduction steps
-Install Java 8u11 from rapps
-install PdfSam 3.3.5 from rapps
-start the main app
-hover with the mouse over some buttons

Expected result
Tooltips should show up somewhere around the mouse pointer

Observed result
Tooltips do show up, but their position at the top left of the screen is highly suspicious

Each time such a tooltip pops up, ros logs

(win32ss/user/ntuser/focus.c:972) err: SetActiveWindow: WH_CBT Call Hook return!

Unfortunately the required Java8u11 does not support XPSP3 anymore, so for comparison-vid of Windows, someone would need to use Win7 or newer.
