μTorrent 2.2.1 (25110): Completely locked GUI because of dialog and menu

• Windows XP Pro SP3 32bit
• VirtualBox 5.2.26 r128414 (Qt5.6.2)

Tested Software

• μTorrent 2.2.1 (25110), download link: http://www.oldversion.com/windows/utorrent-2-2-1-2

Observed Result

• Opening the menu after triggering update check and leaving it opened after the update window appears locks whole GUI and prevents left-clicking or right-clicking anywhere on the screen.
• Pressing Escape closes the dialog and menu.

Expexted Result

• Opened menu closes when the update dialog appears on the screen and the software does not block mouse buttons.
