Description
In the user window, the checkbox "Require user name and password on logon" is disabled and cannot be checked.
But by using the registry, we can simulate checking this box, we need to set the registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\AutoAdminLogon from 0 to 1

- Windows 2003 ( 32-bit)
- Microsoft Windows
- 1GB of RAM
- PIIX3 Chipset
- PS/2 Mouse
- 1 CPU only
- Hardware virtualisation: Enable Nested Paging
- Paravirtualization Interface: Default
- Video Memory: 128MB
- One monitor
- Graphics Controller: VBoxVGA
- Acceleration: Enable 3D Acceleration
- IDE Controller PIIX3 Type, don't use Host I/O Cache
- A CDROM drive and an HARD-DRIVE
- Bridged Network Adapter
- Com1: Raw File
Reproduction Method:
- First, go to control panel
- Open User window.
- You will see that "Require user name and password on logon" is disabled.
How to enable "Require user name and password on logon"
- Open CMD
- Type Regedit
- Double click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
- Double click SOFTWARE
- Double click Microsoft
- Double click Windows NT
- Double click CurrentVersion
- Click Winlogon
- Double click AutoAdminLogon
- Set it to 0
- And reboot the machine
- You will see the Press CTRL-ALT-SUPPR to logon
