Audio - CMI 8368/8767 OEM Driver (XP) causes pagefault

I tried to retest the CMI-Soundcard (IC "HT8738") on the mainboard "Elitegroup P5SSML", knowing that it worked the last time I tested it a few months ago.

ReactOS provides already a "working" (as of device manager) driver for this card, but it does not produce any sound.

For this reason I replace the driver with the one supllied with WinXP. After install of that and reboot the driver crashes when it tries to play  the startup sound.
