Screen saver properties tab desyncs mouse

viewing screen savers at all seems to desync the mouse curser's position

I am currently trying to click the property menu controls yet to do so I need to find the offset they are actually at.

EDIT: seems like killing the screen saver in task manager seems to let me select controls again.
