Canon mx-922 (mx-900 series) MFD tools and drivers cannot be installed

The "MP Drivers" (mp68-win-mx920-1_01-ea32_2.exe) installer launches, unpacks, and quickly zips through a few dialog boxes at unreadable speed, ending with a dialog box that says "MP Drivers has not been installed".  FWIW, on WINE this executable fails with: "Processing cannot continue because the Windows Print Spooler service has been stopped. Start the Print Spooler service and then try again" even though I successfully ran "wine net start spooler."

Then I tried installing mast-win-mx920-1_0-ucd.exe, which is apparently a suite of utilities that includes the "MP Drivers".  It can be launched after right-clicking and setting it to run as win XP sp3.  It makes headway until it tries to install the "MP Drivers", at which point it fails generically (no specific error).  FWIW, on WINE this executable halts with: "To install the software, you must be logged on to an administrator account."

I tried installing "Canon My Printer" (mypr-win-3_3_0-ea11_2.exe).  I'm not quite sure what it is but I was hoping it would include the print-to-fax driver.  On React OS 0.4.13 a pop-up says:

VBoxService.exe Application Error: The instruction at "0x7c944ae3" referenced memory at "0xffffff8". The memory could not be "read".

Indeed, I am running in a Virtual Box.  When I ran the same executable on React OS 0.4.15-dev, it wasn't the same error.  It apparently crashes silently.  (On WINE, this executable just goes to lunch and must be killed)

All 3 files were tried on both ROS 0.4.13 and ROS 0.4.15-dev and all 3 failed on both.  FWIW, these 3 files have no issue on tinyXP running in a virtual box.
