Boinc Manager 7.14.2 can not communicate with its 'client', which is a zombie

Reproduction steps

• Just download and install Boinc from rapps and start its main app afterwards

Expected result
It should immediately ask you which project to join

Observed result
It can not connect to its client app, and the log shows that one of the processes is zombified

The app is useless therefore in ros/rapps atm.
Ftr, I tested this app for the first time today.
