QEMU 0.10.5 (cirrus): affected.
QEMU 0.10.5 (-vga std): top of screen is only briefly odd (other envs have a brief different state too), then it recovers.

Virtual PC 2004 SP1 (5.3.582.27): affected.

Virtual PC 2007 SP1 (6.0.156.0): affected. - confirmed by Stas'M

VirtualBox 6.1.26: affected, but differently - tested by Stas'M

Description

1. Boot starts fine. ("NoDebug", Debug and Screen options.)
2. As soon as "desktop" screen (blue background) appears, it is all garbled.
Although boot continues.
