Git 2.10.0, the context menu entries "GIT GUI here" and "GIT bash here" do not work

Install Git 2.10.0 (usually within rapps, the URL is currently not reachable 2021-11-21)

Then try to invoke a context menu within C:\ and within a folder
it will not execute those commands for the drive, nothing happens

Absolutely nothing is logged when invoking those context menu entries.

Expected result
in 2k3sp2 it does show that context menu only for folders, and it works there
but it does not show them for drives at all
