DvDStyler reproducible application crash, followed by Win32K asserts

When I tried to reproduce the CORE-18074 a bit more in depth, I stumbled over the following thing:

Reproduction steps

• Install DVDStyler 3.0.4 from https://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdstyler/files/dvdstyler/3.0.4/DVDStyler-3.0.4-win32.exe/download?use_mirror=kent
• Run the main app
• right click the properties of "VMGM menu" in the bottom left
• the properties dlg does open up
• maybe move the dlg offscreen and back (to workaround CORE-17421) if you can't see anything
• then try to click the file selection dlg via the "..."
• Cancel the dialog, it will crash then

I ran the application with gflags

gflags /p /enable dvdstyler.exe /full

I resolved the stacktraces in the log.
