revealed, that the commit, which fixed it, was
0.4.12-dev-389-g5f2bebf (2019-01-19) but unfortunately it cannot be ported back yet, because that same commit introduced the much worse BSOD regression CORE-18498 and also CORE-17578. So I most likely have to wait another 10 or 15 years until I can port that fix back.
