Issues with the Network connection Icon in Tray

I tested the new "My Network Places" (Righ click, Properties) functionality.
The default behaviour observed for "Connection" Icon in System tray is that it's not displayed.

When I right click "Network Connection" and select Properties, I observe the "Show Icon in taskbar when connected" to be checked and "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity" to be unchecked.
Here, when I check the "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity" and click ok, I see the "Connection" icon in the System tray

Now, when I reboot, the setting "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity" goes away i.e. it's unchecked. Also, the "Connection" icon is not seen in the system tray
