EnableUserModePnpManager() failed! error on livecd startup or 2nd stage of setup

    Description

      I get the following error randomly when booting the livecd in vmware
      workstation 6.5:
      EnableUserModePnpManager() failed!
      Rebooting now!

      This happens while the "Installing devices.." screen is up. I'd say it happens
      about 50% of the time, and there seems to be no situation that specifically
      triggers it.
