The Debug Info and Backtrace
I installed ReactOS from the botbuild: "bootcd-40312-dbg.7z" on real hardware.
Its a Pentium III 766 MHz with 768 MB Ram. I can look up other hardware info
if that's neccessary!
After succesfully installing ReactOS on it and booting it (always in debug mode),
the "New Hardware found"-Window appeared, and wanted a driver for my NIC.
I chose to install the driver manually and then chose that it should search for
the driver on removable media. I had it burned on cd, ReactOS found it there and
installed it. (It did, however, not find it when i chose "Search for the driver
in this path: CD-Drive:\xxx\xxx", which was exactly the location of the driver)
It gave me the message that the driver had been installed and that i need to
reboot my machine, which i then did. It started up until
"multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\reactos\system32\drivers\pci.sys",
then it hung up. I produced a backtrace and added the information for ndis.sys.
The NIC is a "3Com Office Connect Fast Ethernet", I downloaded the driver here:
http://tinyurl.com/r5p4w
Used the above one, "Sohown2k.exe".
If you need any additional info, best would be to mail me under timitry@web.de
I hope i can help with this!
