utorrent download causes softlocks

When in qEMU 0.5 (0.10) on Ubuntu 9.04 on my machine, and when specifying a torrent for uTorrent to download, uTorrent hangs, and you cannot switch to another workspace, lest the entire desktop hangs. Mouse moves even after desktop hangs.

uTorrent will refresh its window after a while, but you cannot minimize it, click any torrents, etc. until it refreshes.

I'm sorry I cannot be more specific, everything in ROS is really slow for me in QEMU, and often, lock ups occur and even blue screens at times.

Attachment is a screenshot of how slow this all goes. Note that the taskmgr is the fastest thing, updating every second or so. Note the time differences to Ubuntu and ReactOS. It took 3 minutes for the uTorrent tray right-click menu to appear.
