setup encounters IO1_INITIALIZATION_FAILED error

Tried to setup... failed
Normal boot sequence:
-Press any key to boot from CD,
-Loading files,
(...)
-Loading ext2 and then - only lifeless black screen.

I tried to remove a video card, some memory plates and even hard disk (to setup to usb memory stick). No progress. At all...
