AC97 Installer Throws Software Exception

Step-by-step:
1 - Go to http://152.104.125.41/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=23&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false, and download Windows NT 4.0 ac97 sound driver
2 - Attempt to run NT4_A406.exe. Wait for dialog to do it's stuff
3 - Message pops up "setup.exe - Application Error: he exception unknown software exception (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x7c90b106 [OK] [Cancel]"

VM Config:
Qemu 0.14.1
512 MB RAM
ac97 driver specified in Qemu options

ReactOS Version:
r55218 (Installed to a 2GB virtual HDD using the bootcd-dbg image)
