OpenXcom.exe - not a valid Win32 application

I can't run win32 exe of OpenXcom downloadable from (link to SFX archive) https://www.dropbox.com/s/dk0sjnc9yvx1968/OpenXcom_0.9.exe

ERROR_BAD_EXE_FORMAT - <the exe> is not a valid Win32 application
^ the only useful thing - there is not a single character in the log.

It's recent 32-bit application. On my Windows 7 x64 it runs without a problem. It seems not to be a regression, because I replicated the issue as far as ~r42000.
