    Description

I have a trimmed ISO image with some of the VMware drivers, which I use to install the VMware graphics driver during installation. It also contains other drivers for a series of VMware devices, including VMCI.

After a clean install, the desktop is presented with the new hardware wizard. When the wizard tries to install the "VMware VMCI Bus device", the system crashes.

I can't provide a concrete "guilty revision" since the ISO servers are down at the moment, but with the few bootcd ISOs I had in my downloads folder, I narrowed the start of the crash at somewhere between r51313 (doesn't crash) and r55571 (crashes).

If I cancel the installation of the "System Device" I know to be VMCI, the other wizards can be completed, successfully or not, but without crashes.

For debugging purposes only (I don't know how "fair use" applies to copyright in cases like this), here is a link to the trimmed ISO of the VMware Tools, that I use: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/743491/vmware_tools_windows_small.zip
