Real hardware - revision 63761
I have only just been able to install JDK8U11. The installation went well up until about 3/4 of the way through installing the public JRE (it installs JDK first), then Ros BSODed. So after re-booting Ros, I started the installation of JDK again. No BSOD this time, but at about 3/4 of the way through installing this public JRE, the hard drive was making a noise like the same sector was being written to continually, so I opened the Task Manger and first closed the JRE install exe, then the JDK install exe.
Then I tried the installation of Netbeans 8.0 full windows (everything). This went well with the exception that it reported that it could not find the JUnit Library. So having installed Netbeans, I then ran it successfully.
Later I tried it again after the computer had been shutdown for a while. I started to look around the IDE and it suddenly disappeared (shut itself down). This happened a second time in the same place, so I have captured a debug log from booting up of Ros until the collapse of the IDE; which happened in a different place this time.
Either the JDK or Netbeans, warned that the OS needed to be upgraded, but allowed the continuation of the install, warning that it may not work correctly.
So I do not know how useful this report is!
Debug log attached (netbeans8-63761.log).
