Description
This is a regression.
I have tried to install Netbeans 8.0, but it did a roll-back during or just after installing the base IDE and then it installed the Glassfish server. When it had finished this install, the installer stated that it could not install the other programmes and said to look at the log.
I have done a fresh install of revision 64363 and started the install again, this time in debug mode (see Netbeans-8.0-R64363.log). The install was very slow, taking around 1 1/2 hours to complete. After clicking on the finish button, I noticed that Java related debug info was still coming into Putty, even though the install window was gone. The debug info stopped after it tried to connect to the internet.
I have tried to run this second installation, starting the debug logging with "set condition * first always" just before clicking on the desktop icon to start the IDE. It failed start, the start splash screen was white, but what would normally be seen was flashing on and off (see P9290006.MOV). I could just see the red progress line, and it reached 3/4 of the way across (taking a long time to get that far) before it failed (see Netbeans-startfail-R64363.log).
