SHChangeNotifyRegister causes phantom folders/files

    Description

      Open explorer, right click and create new folder/file. A new folder/file will be created in explorer and a phantom folder/file will be created on the desktop. Refreshing the desktop clears them from the desktop.

      You can click and sometimes open these folders/files but the don't act like a shortcut.
