Golden Axe and this game have a "launcher" .EXE which then executes a .DAT file. While CORE-8688 still applies, I noticed that GAME.DAT from this game can also be renamed to EXE and launched directly as a workaround. Obviously, I have no idea whether such approach should work, but it did for Golden Axe. It didn't help for C&C: TibDawn, but maybe the bug is somewhere further.
