    Description

Windows XP does not display the disabled device in device Manager. That would be XP (and other Windows) will display a disabled device, you need to open device Manager to set the system variable devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices to 1. ROS - displays the disabled device always. It is easy to check. Start VBox with the network adapter PCnet-PCI II. Then run the adapter as PCnet-FAST III. In XP PCnet-PCI II will be hidden from device Manager. What would it display, you need to do (from command line):

      set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
      Start DEVMGMT.MSC

And select "Show hidden devices" in device Manager.

In ROS the old adapter will still be displayed, but the status will be "Unknown". - this bug.
