FreeLoader FATX support regressed

Details

    • Bug
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Major
    • 0.4.13
    • Bootloader
    • XQEMU (Xbox emulator)

    Description

      According to the debug log, it properly detects FATX partitions, however it couldn't read freeldr.ini file from the FATX E:\ drive.

      There are also noticeable uninitialized strings in the debug log:

      ... snip ...
      (../boot/freeldr/freeldr/lib/peloader.c:284) trace: WinLdrLoadImage(ЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄ\NTBOOTDD.SYS, 11, *)
      (../boot/freeldr/freeldr/lib/fs/fs.c:72) trace: Opening file 'ЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄЄ\NTBOOTDD.SYS'...
      (../boot/freeldr/freeldr/lib/inifile/ini_init.c:46) trace: IniFileInitialize()
      ... snip ...
      (../boot/freeldr/freeldr/disk/disk.c:132) err: Invalid active partition information
      (../boot/freeldr/freeldr/lib/fs/fs.c:72) trace: Opening file 'Tо\freeldr.ini'...

      Freeldr FATX support worked in ReactOS 0.3.10, so this is regression.

      Follow this guide to create FATX drive with ReactOS installation.
