Missing setting persistence in the shell

    Description

      In ReactOS, many features of the file explorer can be enabled and disabled. However, the file explorer does not save these settings when relaunching the file explorer. When the user disables UI elements such as the status bar or the address bar, this information should be saved in the registry.

       

      On Windows Server 2003, settings persist after relaunching the file explorer. ✅

      On ReactOS 0.4.15 Revision g50d78f0, settings, besides the locked state of the toolbar, do not persist after relaunching the file explorer. ❌
