Description
Our composite battery driver (compbatt.sys) is broken. UMPNPMGR doesn't enumerate it properly as a battery (but as a system device instead), which as a consequence the Power Manager of the kernel cannot perform any battery related IOCTLs because the device does not exist as a battery.
In addition, compbatt.sys doesn't implement several important functions like reading battery status or estimated battery life time, as well as it asserts the kernel, which renders the driver completely unusable.
